About Bev and Ian Parsons

Bev Parsons is a native of British Columbia, Canada; having been born in Beautiful Victoria. She grew up there and in Vancouver. She spent some time at the University of British Columbia and progressed on to teaching Elementary School. She taught school for 10 years, ending up teaching at a US Air Force base outside of Reno, NV. There she fell in love and married an officer (also from the Northwest, born in Missoula, MT). He then left the Air Force and they, and their new son, moved to the Bay Area. Then finally they made it up to the Seattle area, where they have lived on Mercer Island and the city of Bellevue. Bev is lucky, because she has a patient husband (real estate can be time-consuming), two grown children (Ian and a daughter Julia), and recently two granddaughters given to her by Julia and her husband.

Besides Bev's 30+ year obsession with Real Estate, Bev has many other interests too. She is an avid golfer and curler (that crazy Scottish sport of sliding rocks on ice, like shuffleboard). She enjoys a nice game of bridge and to relax with a good book. She also is involved with many charities.

Ian Parsons came to be in Reno, Nevada. Yes, people ARE born in Reno. His first home was in Stead Air Force Base (no jokes). His formative years were growing up in Bellevue where he was active in school activities and Boy Scouts. He has spent over 15 years in the restaurant / hospitality industry, where he learned the finer points of customer service. He also spent two seasons living a dream, in Vail, Colorado, where he worked for the resort's Marketing / Guest Relations department. After that, Ian returned to Seattle and finished his college degree at Seattle University, where he majored in Business Management. Finally, he succumbed to his genes and gravitated towards Real Estate, where he has made his mark over the last 20 years.

Ian has a lot of differing interests. He also loves to snow ski and to ride his mountain bike. An odd thing about him is that he likes to read EIS (Environmental Impact Statements) for fun. But his biggest enjoyment is traveling. He doesn't travel often, but when he does, it has to be special. He has been to Europe, the Caribbean, Mexico, and most recently Africa & Belize.

Ian is also active as a board member of the Rotary Boys and Girls Club in Seattle's Central District.

BTW, The photo below is Bev and Ian with their cousin Craig Patrick, GM of the Pittsburg Penguins, holding the Stanley Cup after the Penquin's NHL Championship in 1992.
